Confucianism originates in China. Centuries after the death of its founder, Kongzi, a diverse collection of writings and a portrait of Kongzi came out named Confucian. 350 million followers worldwide are a part of Confucianism. The percentage of the worlds population is about 5% Confucianism. The majority of the members are in China. The place where most Confucians worship and pray is called Kong Miao. There is not a local leader in Confucianism. There are 4 holy books the Analects of Confucius, or Lunyu, Book of Mencius, or Mengzi, Great Learning, or Daxue, and Doctrine of the Mean, or Zhongyong. To be a Confucian you must accept that all people, no matter what are capable of perfection, are teachable and improvable. You should therefore not have a pessimistic view of people, but should always be optimistic. It also means you must never chastise people for their mistakes or ignorances, but rather show them the way and guide, not force. Overall, the expert mind of Confucius gave us the wonderful philosophy of Confucianism.
